Future Improvments
Possible imporvements for future version of FROG
- Include more periodicity-finiding options, including full support for all those found in PERIOD in addition to supporting new methods such as AoV
- Allowing you to re-add the trend to already detrended data.
- Re-plotting the fit to the folded data ontop of the original time series.
- Re-calculate the Chi-Squared of the fit when a fit is copied onto a new time series.
- Display the residual in a stacked plot when fitting a time series.
- Binning of data over specific periods rather than using a fixed number of bins.
- Extending the web service interface by further exposing the algorithmic engine.
- Providing BeanShell
support to allow the user to extend FROG functionality.
- Providing command line tools, e.g. to provide remote control of the application from the command line.
- Integration with SPLAT to support time series spectroscopy, including trailed spectrograms and line fitting to generate time series radial velocity curves and blue-to-red crossing curves.
- Integration with TOPCAT to support data editing.
- On the fly conversion between time frames.
- Persistance of meta-data when a file is written to disk.
